Assistant Professor/ Design Management

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • PhD Degree in Design Management, or
  • Master’s in Design Management Plus a PhD in a Design related field-
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the similar field
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Teaching and research experince in the field of Design Management,
  • Experince in teaching Design Management related topics as Design Leadership, Design thinking, Design Entreprenuership, and others.
  • Interdisciplinary focus that facilitates research and teaching
  • Relevant research experience and publications.
  • A record of scholarly and / or professional / creative work is required.
  • Excellent Interpersonal, Organizational and Communication skills.
  • Able to participate actively in service to the College, University, and outreach to the community.
  • Should be able to teach at Undergraduate and Graduate levels.
  • The candidate should be proficient in both Arabic and English.

Assistant Professor/ Fine Arts

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • PhD Degree in Fine Arts, Drawaing and Painting, Art History, or a simliar creative Arts field
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experince in the similar field
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Experinced in teaching various courses related to the filed of art as: sketching, brushwork, painting, use of new mediums and Technologies in art
  • The ability to teach undergarduate courses in Art history, and postgardauate courses as Thoery and philosophy of Art, and other specilaized theoreitacl courses in Art.
  • Scolray research in the filed and a record of pratical art work and shows is required.
  • Interdisciplinary focus that facilitates research and teaching
  • A record of scholarly and / or professional / creative work is required.
  • Able to participate actively in service to the College, University, and outreach to the community.
  • Excellent Interpersonal, Organizational and Communication skills.
  • Should be able to teach at Undergraduate and Graduate levels.

Assistant Professor/ Architecture

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Experience in teaching: various subjects related to architecture, as Architectural Design studio at various levels, Design funadamentals, architecturl Drawing and presntation, building materials, building construction, acoustics and lighting in interior spaces, etc.
  • Proficiency in a range of CAD Software applications, especially Auto CAD, Sketch-up, Photoshop, 3D Max or any other 3D application software, is highly recommended.
  • Preferably with a record of scholarly and / or professional / creative work.
  • Should be able to teach at Undergraduate and Graduate levels.
  • Relevant research experience and publications will be an added field.
  • The candidate should have proficiency in both Arabic and English.

Assistant Professor/ Interior Design

  • PhD Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture (must be able to teach Interior Courses), or related fields

Assistant Professor/ Graphic Design

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • PhD Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia design or related fields
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the similar field
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Proficiency in a range of applications, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustartor, InDesign, Photoshop, Flash / Animate, After Effects, Muse, Dreamweaver), Apple Final-Cut and other graphics Software.
  • Teaching knowledge in Fundementals of Design, Photography, Publication Printing Design, logo design, Brand & Identity Design, Web Design, Motion Graphics, 2D Animation, 3D Animation and Video Production.
  • Strong skills and preferably special knowledge in curiclum development and professional practice in Graphic Design and Multimedia.
  • Interdisciplinary focus that facilitates research and teaching.
  • Relevant research experience and publications.
  • Excellent Interpersonal, Organizational and Communication skills.
  • Participate actively in service to the College, University, and outreach to the community.

Manager, Library

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
  • PhD in Library Science or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years experience in Kingdom of Bahrain/ or in a similar set up of Curriculum and of teaching and learning programmes in a University.
  • Knowledge of learning resources – print and electronic.
  • Knowledge and experience of Library management and systems.
  • Experience of collaboration with ICT and teaching staff.
  • Preferably with financial management experience.
DESIRED CRITERIA:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to interact positively with students and staff.
  • Ability to maintain strong interpersonal relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Willingness to keep up-to-date with information technology and Library trends.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
