Royal University for Women holds Annual Career Fair

Royal University for Women held its annual career fair at its premises in Riffa in an event that drew international companies, local businesses, and alumnae of the Royal University for Women as well as current students. The career fair organized by the student affairs office at the university as an opportunity for students to meet and interact with the job market and explore any future employment possibilities.

 

In addition to meeting and talking with employers, attendees learned about training and internship opportunities and attended informative presentations by experts on career progression, work ethics, and CV building.

 

The event started off with a welcoming speech from Prof.Mazin Jumaah, President of Royal University for Women, who thanked the participants and commended the caliber of RUW graduates, reflecting on the achievements of notable RUW alumnae and the trust in hiring graduates of Royal University for Women that these reputable companies have shown, to an extent where RUW graduates are sought after in the job market and constantly receive positive reviews in terms of work ethic, understanding and a teamwork spirit that is fostered during their time at the university and carried on to working life. 

 

Reflecting on the event, Ms.Doris Martin, Director of Student Affairs at Royal University for Women described the event as “a valuable annual event for students and RUW graduates who are interested in networking with employers, learning more about the industries, and building a career”. 

 

Adding on her visit to the career fair, 3RD year College of Law student Layla Mohammed described the event as “extremely beneficial” and offers a taste of the job market and the pathways she can take after the completion of her degree. Expressing her approval on the presence of reputable law firms as a motivating factor to attend the career fair. 

 

This is the 10th career fair held by the university and was well received by both the students and the alumnae’s.
