Academic Vice President's Message

Dear Students,

As the Academic Vice President of the Royal University for Women, I am thrilled to welcome both new and returning students to the start of another academic year. We are excited to embark on this journey of learning and growth together.

As a university, we have set several strategic directions that we are committed to achieving. One of these is the advancement of women in all areas of our community. We believe that by creating an inclusive and equitable environment, we can provide opportunities for all students to succeed and thrive.

Another area of focus is sustainable development. We understand that as a higher education institution, we have a responsibility to lead by example and create a more sustainable future for all. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint and promoting sustainable practices on campus.

In line with our commitment to sustainability, we are also in support of Bahrain's Vision 2030, which aims to transform the country into a sustainable and developed nation. We are proud to be a part of this initiative and look forward to collaborating with our partners in Bahrain to achieve this vision.

In addition to these strategic directions, we also place a strong emphasis on the importance of technology. We recognize that these are vital tools for learning and research, and we are committed to providing our students with the necessary resources and support to succeed in this rapidly changing landscape.

As a student-oriented institution, we are committed to providing a high-quality education that is tailored to the needs of our students. Our faculty members are diverse and talented, basing their teaching on the latest research and advancements in their field.

We are also proud to offer our students access to excellent university facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories, libraries, and recreation centres. These resources are designed to support students in their academic and personal pursuits.

On behalf of the Royal University for Women, I would like to wish you all a prosperous and successful academic year. We are excited to support you in your academic journey and look forward to working together to make the most of your time at our institution.

Prof. Jean-Pierre El Asmar
