Practice Good Personal Hygiene

Do your part to stay safe and prevent the spread. Faculty, staff, students and campus visitors are required to maintain good personal hygiene.

FOLLOW PHYSICAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES

Maintaining physical distance is the single best way to keep from infecting others or being infected. It's about kindness, respect and accountability.

Follow these physical distancing practices on RUWcampuses:

·        Keep at least 6 feet (or two arms’ length) away from other people at all times.

·        Walk to the right in common hallways, corridors and paths.

·        Follow signs that direct traffic flow in hallways and stairwells.

·        Avoid crowded places when you can.

·        Follow capacity limits for campus transportation and buildings.

·        Keep elevators to two people max. Only board an elevator if you feel comfortable with occupancy.

·        Eliminate physical contact (skip those introductory handshakes).

·        Avoid touching surfaces touched by other.

·        If you feel sick, stay home and separate yourself from others.

All RUW System faculty, staff, students and visitors are required to practice physical distancing to the fullest extent possible.

WEAR A FACE MASK IN PUBLIC

Since COVID-19 is primarily spread through respiratory droplets, RUW requires all faculty, staff, students and visitors to wear masks on campus.

You should continue to practice good social distancing habits even when wearing a mask.

KEEP HANDS CLEAN

Wash your hands frequently, especially after being in a public place or blowing your nose, coughing, sneezing or touching your face.

How to wash your hands:

·        Wet your hands with clean, running water (temperature doesn’t matter). Turn off the water.

·        Lather your hands with soap, make sure you get between your fingers, under your nails, the backs of your hands and your wrists.

·        Scrub for at least 20 seconds.

·        Rinse your hands well under running water.

·        Dry your hands on a clean towel or air dry them.

No soap and water handy? Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Hand sanitizer will be available in all campus buildings. Make sure your hands are dry after using hand sanitizer before you touch objects.

COVER YOUR COUGH OR SNEEZE

When you cough or sneeze:

1.       Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or use the inside of your elbow. You should cover your face when sneezing or coughing, even if you are wearing a mask.

2.      Throw used tissues in the trash.

3.      Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water aren't readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
