Master of Science (MSc) in Advanced Data Science and Artificial Intelligence - University of Liverpool

A unique programme from the University of Liverpool, UK, hosted by the Royal University for Women in the Kingdom of Bahrain!

Introduction

The Master of Science (MSc) in Advanced Data Science and Artificial Intelligence programme is specifically designed to address the growing demand for professionals who can extract actionable insights from data and develop intelligent systems. Delivered at the Royal University for Women (RUW), Bahrain, in partnership with the University of Liverpool, this programme enables students to build cutting-edge technical skills while also gaining critical awareness of the ethical, social, and business implications of AI and data technologies.

By focusing on the practical application of advanced data science techniques and artificial intelligence methods, the programme equips students to solve real-world problems in a wide range of industries including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, education, and digital services.

Programme Overview

At its core, the programme covers the essential theoretical foundations of data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. It begins by introducing core concepts such as big data analytics, optimisation, multi-core programming, then progresses to more advanced topics including deep learning, natural language processing, and biology-inspired optimisation.

Students will gain practical experience in designing and implementing intelligent systems that operate on large, complex datasets. Key technologies taught include Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and modern cloud platforms. Emphasis is placed on applying these technologies to contemporary data challenges through hands-on projects and real-world case studies.

The MSc integrates principles of responsible AI, data ethics, and governance, preparing students to become not only skilled practitioners but also thoughtful leaders in the field.
