HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women receives RUW Delegation

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), voiced the kingdom's pride in the new generation of distinguished Bahraini women who are contributing tremendously to boosting the presence of Bahraini women in various fields.

 

HRH Princess Sabeeka was speaking as she received members of the educational and administrative staff, students and graduates from the Royal University for Women (RUW). She stressed keenness of SCW to follow-up on Bahraini women's development throughout their life, especially during the university period. She congratulated RUW staff and students on the 10th anniversary of the university, lauding its academic development.

 

HRH Princess Sabeeka praised effective partnership between SCW and the educational and training establishments, pointing out cooperation between the council and RUW in organizing functions, workshops as well as conferences.  HRH also congratulated the Royal University for Women for receiving accreditation and for the achievements of the university, including establishing partnerships with international universities, the continuous launching of new programs and degrees that match the need of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the numerous accolades and honors achieved by Royal University for Women students and professors and at a national and international level.  

HRH Princess Sabeeka addressed the graduates of the Royal University for Women stating her confidence in their ability to succeed post graduation and stated that it is a reflection of the quality of education on offer at Royal University for Women as well as the determination, willpower and drive to succeed that allows the graduates to achieve their goals and establish themselves as leaders in the society and in their respective fields.

Prof.Mazin Jumaah then presented in the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), briefing the audience on the establishment of the Royal University for Women the mission and vision on the university, the degrees and programs on offer, the partnerships and collaborations with international institutions, as well as the strides RUW has undertaken in empowering women and achieving accreditation and offering the highest quality of education and opportunities for RUW students and graduates to excel. Prof.Mazin Jumaah also pointed out the recognition from the GCC countries and the composition of the RUW student body from different nationalities all striving together to achieve excellence and distinction.  Prof.Mazin presented the 12 academic programs on offer at Royal University for Women whether at a foundation, bachelors or masters level as stating that Royal University for Women currently has 802 graduates and an expected 153 students to graduate this upcoming year.  Prof.  Mazin Jumaah mentioned the excellent facilities on offer at RUW including state of the art classroom, labs, sports center, and library as well as residence halls. 

Prof.Mazin Jumaah expressed his gratitude and sincere appreciation towards HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, for her constant support for women in the Kingdom of Bahrain and for Royal University for Women.

The proceedings then continued with successful alumni of the Royal University for Women informing the audience of their success post graduation and the role that the university played in helping them towards achieving their success in different fields within the Kingdom of Bahrain. The success alumnae selected to meet Her Royal Highness included graduates from each class, encompassing the different colleges and representing both the private and public sector.
