RUW Alumna Ms. Haya Khalifa receives an award for her fashion line in ‘Arab Sat Festival’
Fashion designer, Ms. Haya Khalifa was honored in Arab Sat Festival in its tenth edition as the first Bahraini designer to be honored in this festival that was held in Egypt amid a large crowd of Arab celebrities such as: Nadine Nassib Njeim, Singer Angham, Mohammed Ramadhan and singer Dounia Batma. The designer received the Best Arab Designer Award for her brand “Naseem Al Andalus”.
Naseem Al-Andalus is a Bahraini fashion house that is distinguished by the creation of a new line of luxury Moroccan caftan and evening fashion that has combined Moroccan and Gulf traditional clothing. Since her beginning in design, the Bahraini designer and her mother, Nabila Al-Issawi, have adopted traditional art and crafts to present a unique new fashion line in the Arab fashion world and have been able to develop it on international basis.
This award comes as an addition to Ms. Haya’s record of international achievements that included fashion show at Harrods in London, a historic fashion show at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, as well as fashion shows at the Paris Fashion Week.
The fashion designer, Haya Khalifa, mentioned that she is forever grateful to the Royal University for Women where she learned the fundamentals of fashion design and helped her to start her journey.
It is worth mentioning that the Bahraini designer Haya Khalifa is one of the graduates of Fashion Design Programme at the Royal University for Women. Haya was graduated in 2016 and took the role of artistic director in her brand Nassim Al-Andalus while her mother is the design director. The designer's attention to detail and expertise in luxury fabrics is what differentiates Dar Naseem Al Andalus from others, which makes Naseem Al Andalus the first Brand for any modern woman seeking sophistication, elegance and excellence.
