RUW Faculty Gear up for the academic year 2018/2019

Royal University for Women (RUW) launched its new academic year by holding its two day staff orientation programme on the beginning of September 2018, at the RUW campus in West Riffa. The orientation day witnessed the attendance and participation of more than 70 members from the academic and administration staff of the university. 

The day started with a welcome speech from Dr. David Stewart, the Acting President of the Royal University for Women, wherein he welcomed the returning employees and the new members to the RUW team. The speech was followed by presentation from the Academic Vice President, Dr. Mona Suri, in which she highlighted the achievements of RUW during the AY 2017-18 again emphasizing that RUW is the best private university in Bahrain, where women excel.

Following, a number of presentations were presented by the Student Affairs Manager, Human Resources Manager, Director of Administration, Director of Quality Assurance, the Finance Manager and International Affairs Officer, in which they discussed the challenges and opportunities for this year.

The presentations covered a wide range of subjects including the programmes, policies and services at RUW and the required standard expected from RUW representatives, in addition to the roadmap for this academic year.

Royal University for Women faculty draws strength from its diversity and experience, thriving on challenges, and is committed to imparting both knowledge and character. RUW students are encouraged to explore their fullest potential, test the limits of their creativity and talent, and reinforce their confidence and individuality.

It is worth mentioning that RUW has achieved great milestones in a short period of time, with it being the first private university in Kingdom of Bahrain to be accredited by HEC and accredited internationally by ASIC, as well as being listed in the recommended higher education institutions in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Sultanate of Oman.
