College of Business and Law - Degree Programmes

Students choose a major from one of four tracks: Banking & Finance, International Business, Human Resource Management and Marketing.

The Bachelor of Business degree at the Royal University for Women equips the students with business fundamentals that allow them to turn their passions into successful careers. The BBS provides a well-rounded professional education that consists of university general requirement courses, Liberal Arts required courses, a business core, and a year of courses focusing on a student’s major.

The general requirements courses provide mathematical and statistical analysis skills along with IT and communication capabilities needed for business management. The Liberal Arts required courses create well-rounded individuals for a modern world.

The Business Core

The business core provides students with the business basics necessary to operate in the business world. These include courses in the following subject areas:

  • Finance, including Islamic Finance
  • Economics
  • Marketing
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Operations Management
  • Organisational Behaviour

The major of Law provides a programme that is globally oriented, addresses the needs of the local market, and also leads to international careers. Students will be trained on all branches of legal studies, and will, hence, be capable of leading any legal careers with success; they will receive an education that surveys all major legal topics.

The main branches of legal studies such as Private and Public Law will be covered by the program, as well as the legal issues related to International Public and Private Law will be an essential part of the program.

However, in tune with the exigencies of the local market and it needs, the programme will mainly focus on Commercial Law, Business Law and related subjects. Law studies confer many opportunities to the students, the Bachelor of Law can take them to domestic Law related professions such as lawyers, judges, public notaries, legal consultants, or employees in Public Administration. The International field will also be available for them and they might choose International careers being diplomats, international lawyers or judges, or officials of International Organizations.
