CAD aims at equipping its students with the best possible skills, tools, and knowledge, while encouraging them to adopt innovative approaches to the multitude of design problems and challenges of today’s world, from the social, to the cultural, the environmental and the economic. Moreover, CAD at RUW is student-centered where faculty members alternate between the roles of instructor, and facilitator, striving to externalize students’ individual professional personality. Interaction between students and faculty members is built upon respect, objectivity, and constructive criticism. At CAD, we encourage evidence-based and user-centered approaches to solving design problems, uplifted by ethical practices. This is to make sure that first-class educations meeting simultaneously local, regional, and international standards is offered, faculty members continuously undergo research, in addition to self and professional development.
